Superintendent's Message:
Welcome to Winnsboro Independent School District. We are an outstanding public school district located in the piney woods of northeastern Texas. The district encompasses about 170 square miles of Wood, Franklin, and Hopkins counties. All three of our campuses, elementary, middle, and high school are state recognized. With over 1400 students, we excel in both academics and athletics. Surrounded by beautiful lakes and gentle farmland, our students enjoy all of the pleasures of an outdoor life. Our girls’ basketball team has won state three out of the last ten years and our football team was bi-district champs last year. Our band was a finalist at UIL marching contest in 2007. If you are searching for a great school district in which to raise your children, then Winnsboro is the district for you!
